Our Teachers

We are passionate about music and young children, and hope to inspire a whole new generation of music-makers who can sing in tune, move in rhythm and participate with joy and confidence as they create music with family and friends throughout their lives. We love what we do!

photo Lynne Rubin

Lynne holds a BFA in acting from  Rutgers University and has earned Music Together Certification level 1. During her career as an actress, she performed in voice-overs, theater and television. Lynne grew up in a family centered around education and the performing arts, and when she was introduced to Music Together first as a mom, then as a teacher, it felt to her as if all paths in her life had magically led her to this point!  Lynne lives with her musical children Isaac and Maya and her husband Bruce in Cedar Grove. When shes not teaching Music Together, Lynne can often be found performing at children's birthday parties.

photo Anne Sailer

photo Amanda McCabe

Amanda studied classical piano from age nine through college, but some of her most meaningful, formative musical moments were in the car with her family, singing along to the Beatles in as many parts as they could muster. She still loves to sing and play piano --- as well as the baritone ukulele. Amanda earned her Certification Level I from Music Together. She lives in Glen Ridge with her bass-playing husband, Brian, and two fabulous kids, Fiona and Rowan.

photo Ariana Bullard

Ariana joined the Music Together family in 2012 when her first child, Elias, was 6 months old and continues to take classes with her daughter, Sophie. She fell in love with the music, the philosophy and the warmth of the program, and it was a natural progression to become a Music Together teacher. Ariana brings with her a 20 year history of dancing flamenco, performing and conducting arts education in New York and the surrounding areas. The Music Together value of communal music making fits nicely with flamenco, where the dancer uses her whole body to make music alongside the guitarists and singers.

photo Sophia Anastasia

Sophia Anastasia was first introduced to Music Together decades ago, while studying early childhood music education at Montclair State University.  She continued though on her musical path as a concert flutist, performing throughout the US and Mexico with a variety of orchestras, ensembles, and soloists, too many to mention here.  While residing and freelancing in New York City, she also completed her Masters Degree at the Manhattan School of Music and her Doctorate Degree at SUNY Stony Brook.   Decades later she found herself one day as a new mom, sitting in on her first Music Together class.  Today, her two loves have been joined; her love of music, and her love of children have made Music Together her latest passion.  Sophia resides in Montclair with her cellist husband, three children, and seven chickens and two fish.  Her other loves include gardening, herbalism, yoga, and cooking.

Amy has been singing, dancing, and acting since she learned to talk. Coming from a musical family, she performed in professional theater as a teenager and went on to study at The Boston Conservatory of Music. After a career change, she became a psychotherapist and has been working to support and empower trauma survivors for the past fifteen years. Amy discovered Music Together classes with her two boys, Cody and Jake and decided to get back to her roots and complete the Music Together training.
